The trip starts at 9:00 and ends at 16:30 pm.

We depart from harbour "Cais Vasco da Gama", in Portimão, and guests must meet there 15 minutes before departure time.

The "MARLINE" takes about 45 minutes until reach the fishing grounds, this means about 8/9 miles out, a depht of 60/70 meters. Then the engines will stop and the boat is drifting. Meanwhile the crewmembers will prepare the fishing rods and  the "rubby-dubby", smashed sardines, that we use as bait. This mixture will be throug out into the water in a net and slowly will disappear in the ocean. Sharks will detect fish flesh and blood particles and wll swim in direction of the boat.

We catch mostly BLUE SHARKS, MAKOS, and bonitos and other kinds of sharks are caugh once in a while...

For conservation reasons we try always to release the fish alive, but sometimes they swallow the hook too deeply and if the crew see that they will die the fish is brought on shore.

When fighting a big fish ask help from the crew, if necessary you will sit in the fighting chair.

We take a maximum of 10 fishermen on board, and everyone is fishing at the same time, spectators are welcome, max 6.
